
<p>At least 93,000 people may have been affected by devastating flash floods that struck the Nepal-Tibet border region on Wednesday, the Red Cross has said, as rescuers race to reach communities cut off by the disaster.</p>
<p>The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies said it fears the death toll, which has already surpassed 540, will continue to climb as emergency teams push into remote, hard-hit areas. Another 1,900 people are reported missing, according to the federation.</p>
